Please click on a question to see its answers.

Q:is the monitor portable or does it have to be stationary?

A:

Monitor Is portable! Has a rechargeable battery. Another reason I bought it…. The camera can be portable with batteries but doesn’t last an entire night so the camera should plug in for best performance.

Q:How long does the music play?

A:

I’ve never used this feature, but to answer you question my husband turned on the music. Apparently each of the 5 songs plays for about 30 seconds and then plays again, and again, and again for approximately 20 minutes. You select which song you want to play. I hope this answers your question. The monitor is really a sanity saver because it lets me do some things while the baby sleeps. One more thing, don’t expect to see anything on the screen in bright sunshine. It is completely washed out in that kind of light, but well worth having outside because you can hear the baby when he wakes up. I…

Q:my present monitor is not very loud. 1. Will the tv on in the room interfere with the sound and how loud is the audio? I need it to be very loud.

A:

I’ve never experienced any interference between the tv and the sound of the monitor. And in my opinion, the audio is loud enough to hear over a loud tv. There are seven volume levels and an option to mute. We have been using this monitor for over a year and love it. The option to buy additional cameras and link them to the tv monitor has also helped us so much.

Q:The camera keeps switching from color to black and white even when the light in the room stays the same. is it defective?

A:

Ours never had that issue but we lost the night vision/infrared lights like a week after we bought this. Dissapointing

Q:Does the camera have night vision?

A:

Yes, it has night vision, it activates by it self depending on the amount of light that hits the camera. Hope it helps you

Q:Does the camera have a wall charger, or does it just take batteries?

A:

It takes 4 AA batteries or can plug into the wall but the wall plug is not a charger in order for the camera to work without baytteries it has to stay plugged in.

Q:Does this camera have a sleep mode, where the monitor picture turns off, but the volume stays on?

A:

Yes it does have a sleep mode there is a button called view and you hold it down till the image goes black. Then the screen is activated or turned on by any kind of sound in the room.

Q:Do the power adapters work also at international voltages (220v)?

A:

I’m assuming no because I wasn’t given any additional power connections – But I have seen places(amazon included) where you can buy a 220v adapter if you need to have one. Not that expensive.

Q:How can I remove a camera so that when it is in patrol it doesn’t search for a camera that’s not there every time?

A:

Menu>choose camera u want to remove>menu select or right arrow>choose baby monitor unit>press and hold magnifying glass and view at the same time for 5 seconds>when successful you will hear a tone and the baby unit slot will be empty.

Q:What is the actual range of monitor? I need to be able to work outside while baby naps.

A:

I can adjust and readjust as needed. This camera/monitor works great.

Q:On the camera, must it be wall mounted? I would like to be able to move camera where needed.

A:

It does not need to be wall mounted, you can set it on a dresser or shelf.

Q:Does this monitor have peep/vox/voice activated mode where it only kicks on when it hears a noise?

A:

It will work either way. It picks up every sound in the house. Very sensitive. Works great.

Q:I don’t need another camera. I need the parent unit. Can they be purchasd separately

A:

No

Q:I’m looking for a system with 2 monitors for twins who sleep in different cribs. Does this one have that capability?

A:

Yes

Q:Is the signal between camera and monitor encrypted/secure or can it be intercepted/hacked by others?

A:

It has fhss. So I’d imagine it’d take someone who knew what they were doing to intercept it. So yes it is encrypted.

Q:dose it record sound and video?

A:

No

Q:can you play lullabies from the hand held unit

A:

Do you mean from the parent unit? No…not from the parent unit. You can play lullabies from the baby unit (the one in the baby’s room)

Q:My devices wont connect.. they did but now wont. Any advice on how to reset them?

A:

So…I wish I had an answer. My monitors weren’t connecting. I took the battery out..waited a few mins. Un – linked the camera’s and then re – linked them. They magically started working. I honestly only had the problem when my sister and mother spent the night. I think their cell phones were interfering. (2 additional cell phones that aren’t usually there)

Q:does this also work with 1000″ foot range including obstructions? meaning could one take it to a neighbors’ house and monitor a room in their home

A:

No i don’t Think so. in My House it’s Made of Material, and my Baby is in the rear part, and i’m on the front of my house, and have some times a few Pauses in Signal, i Don’t know if the coexistence of WiFi’s, The Wireless Phones, or that i Live next to a Cable company (by The satellite Dishes). but a very few times Happen That. Hope Help you.

Q:i am trying to find a monitor that has the capacity to vibrate the parent reciever if the parent is hearing impaired

A:

This will do that perfectly. It has a vibration mode that alarms with movement and sound and temp. We love this device for this reason and many others.

Q:does it pan

A:

No, no auto pan nor side pan. It has a up/down manual tilt function.

Q:Can it hook up to my Wifi?

A:

No. This monitor cannot hook up to wifi.

Q:How is the battery life?

A:

I would say not so good…if its plugged in all night and I stat the day with a full charge normally by 8:00pm the battery is flashing red.

Q:How is the picture quality?

A:

Excellent. Have had two other brands and they were terrible. I highly reccomend this unit. I bought a second camera for use in another room. No problems at all.

Q:voltage

A:

120v

Q:I just returned this camera because the monitor charger broke. My new camera is really foggy looking (my first one was not) is this something I can fix

A:

I would not know but I think you can speak directly to the manufacturer

Q:Does this have a mute/volume off option, but still have the monitor on?

A:

Yes

Q:Does this monitor display the room temperature?

A:

Yes it does

Q:Has anyone figured out how to get rid of the bright spot in night view? I found that if I use the zoom in, it looks fine, but not in regular view.

A:

I do not have a bright spot. Isn’t the camera light bouncing and reflecting in any surface?!

Q:I want to use this to spy on my toddler.. Since you can’t pan the room, do you think I could see the whole room if it was mounted in a high corner?

A:

I’m sure you could although I’m not sure it would be as clear as you’d like it. You can zoom with it too which is a nice feature. You may need a higher quality camera though to span a whole room.

Q:can this monitor be hooked up to your smartphone, so you can see the baby on your phone?

A:

Not that I’m aware of. It’s a great camera that can be moved around if you need to.
It’ had great night vision, and you can talk to your babe through it which is good too.

Q:i am thinking of using this setup in a cosplay type costume of a battle suit and was wondering how long the camera lasts on battery power….?

A:

I don’t know, because I did use it for more than 8 minutes diaries. But I think that batteries are used for a long hours

Q:Is there any way to get sound when using two cameras with this monitor unit for overnight use?

A:

I only use it with one camera, but i think i saw an option for more than one camera around there. For the sound, go to settings, sensibility option, there you can adjust the sensibility for sounds of each camera, 5 being loudest option.. If one camera allows sound, it shouldnt be diferente with the other cameras, but as i said, i only use it with one camera.

Q:how big is the screen

A:

about 1.5 x 2in

Q:I need to buy 2 power adapters for baby cam and parent unit? How I can get them?

A:

Sometimes power adpters from other items in your house can do the job, depending on the voltage. Call the company and find out, they probably have adpters, too.

Q:I thought this one also came with sounds, rain wind lullbyes?

A:

You are correct however, it is only a lullbuye sound. No rain or wind option.

Q:My item doesn’t work anymore, it’s damaged (only 4 months but with trouble since the beginning) how can I proceed with warranty?

A:

Mine had issues as well, but I returned it for another one and gave it another try. So far so good. To return it just go on amazons return page. They will email you a shipping label. I no longer has the box and they still took it back and reimbursed me. It was a very simple and smooth process.

Q:I keep reading different answers. I would like to know if I can move the camera from the parent unit to scan the room from side to side…Confused.

A:

No. The camera does not move. You can zoom in and out twice but it will not change directions as to scan the room.

Q:wireless range?

A:

If you are asking me how far away the two units were from each other, it first happened about 20 feet away, from the babies rm to the master bedroom. It also didn’t work anywhere else in the house. When I first got the camera it worked fine, even outside of the house. One day I put the baby down for a nap and turned it on and it just didn’t work, anywhere.

Q:what is the range?

A:

Great

Q:Camera? Does thia come with one camera and one parent unit or do I ONLY get the parent unit and have to buy the camera seperate?

A:

Yes it’s the camera and monitor. You can purchase “additional” cameras, but it does come with one.

Q:the parent unit monitor kept fading in and out. Is is a sign that the battery is low or is it defective ?

A:

Is it the video or audio that is fading in and out?

Q:could you add an additional unit?

A:

The parent unit is designed to be able to link to multiple cameras. We only have the one camera attached, but it seems pretty straightforward to link additional ones.

Q:I know you can’t hear both children when you are in multi-camera view, but as long as I choose a camera to view does the sound come back?

A:

Yes it does immediately

Q:how is the sound quality? I just purchased another brand a few days ago and I can’t hear my son on it…currently running and audio monitor with the video…

A:

I think the sound quality is great. The only part I don’t like is the sound goes on and off and is extremely sensitive to even the slightest noise in the room..like a sound machine.

Q:Can you move/pan the camera from the parent unit?

A:

No you can’t. You can zoom in but that’s it. It does have a wall mount, but we keep it up on her dresser and are able to view the entire crib.

Q:been reviewing many different monitors and my main concern is not being able to hear both children if using two cameras….does this have a scanning option where it rotates between both rooms and you can hear which ever room it is currently on? don’t…

A:

hi, honestly i do not know if that scannig option exists since i only have one kid and therefore one camera. Though i really recommend it…i am very satisfied with it…..

Q:When you have 2 cameras set up and overnight focused on one camera if the other camera not in view has noise will it vibrate at least to let me know?

A:

I only have 1 camera so I can’t give you an informed answer.

Q:When you have multiple cameras, can you only view one child at a time or is there a multi screen view? How does the sound work on 2+ monitors?

A:

There is a multi screen view, however there is NO sound in this view, just a flashing “sound detected at camera 1″ message that shows at the top of the screen. Not very functional if you’re wanting to use this view overnight, as you can’t hear words flashing on the screen.

Q:When zoomed in, can you pan using the parent monitor?

A:

Don’t understand the question!
